Question of the Week #8: Nature

Question of the Week #8:

What is your favorite animal, and why?

My two cents:  I love cats–all sizes–and their creativity, when getting into trouble.

  1. I love my kitties too (and my dogs)! But I also love Owls. Both animals just speak to me.

    • Hi Casey, Do you have any owls living near you? Cheers, Ashley

      • They’re in the woods (barred owls, eastern screech owls). I have a zillion stuffed ones in my house.Does that count?

      • Absolutely, Casey! I have a collection of stuffed critters, too, all aquired as an adult. Hey, there cute. And sometimes, part of the price goes to an animal sanctuary. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Dogs, hands down. No one loves you like your dog!

  3. My favorite non-domesticated animal would have to be the elephant. They are an incredibly sensitive animal that thrives in groups and takes care of each other. Humans could learn a lot from them.

    • Hi Patti, Baby elephants are especially cute, and their mothers are so wonderfully protective. Cheers, Ashley

  4. I’m a dog person through and through. But I also love African animals – they’re all amazing.

    • Do you have a favorite African animal, Louise? Cheers, Ashley

      • I have a safari to Africa on my bucket list – lions, giraffes, zebras, the great apes – love them all.

      • Sounds wonderful, Louise. There’s something special about seeing animals in their natural environment. I’d like to see killer whales near Glacier Bay one day. Really hope you get to take your safari, soon. Cheers, Ashley

  5. Cats are my favorites as well. I love their grace and litheness.

    • Hi Rhonda, Cats even handle embarassment with grace by washing their paw, pretending they meant to do that sideways flop-twist. Cheers, Ashley
