Question of the Week #15: Future Technology

Question of the Week #15:

Near-future advances in nanomedicine may extend human lifespans by 20-40 years. Have you planned for the additional years of retirement?

Responses

  1. god help me…forty more years of retirement? ouch.

    • Hi Louise, Wonderful advances such as targeted drug delivery (radiation therapy and chemotherapy without the nasty side effects) are coming, too. Cheers, Ashley

  2. No! The addtional years don’t matter if my body keeps aging and I can feel the effects.

    • Hi Gerri, Emerging technologies will help keep our bodies in better shape. But, we should prepare financially for this future. Cheers, Ashley

  3. According to the Bible, this would take human life expectancy back to where it was meant to be, right? (Genesis 6:3) Interesting. As my husband says, the best retirement plan is to keep working. LOL I plan to retire from career one in eight years and will be writing full-time after that.

    • Hi Jolyse, Your husband is so right. I hope to never retire from writing romances–too much fun. Cheers, Ashley
