Favorite Tip #34: Feeling Sleepy?

Favorite Tip #34:

If you’re feeling sleepy in the afternoon, check out the protein-to-carbohydrate ratio of your lunch.

To be more alert, eat extra protein (as well as a side of liquid caffeine) and fewer carbs.

To be sleepy at bedtime, eat more carbs (as well as a dash of dairy) and less protein at dinner.

  3. fascinating. I’m having trouble staying awake in the evening and i’m eating more carbs than usual. whoo whee – I think you just solved my problem.
