Question of the Week #26:
What is your favorite quote, and why?
My two cents (but please share yours):
Benjamin Franklin wrote, “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” To my mind, nothing is more important than liberty.

“Liberty is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.”
Not sure who said this first.

I like that quote as well, Ashley. Here’s mine:
Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson~
The reason I like this so much is that it helps me silence my inner critic as well as the naysayers around me.

Your quote should be the writer’s anthem, Rhonda. Thank you very much for sharing. Cheers, Ashley

Trying again on the right post 🙂

As an avid collector of quotations, I have so many great ones and the selection is ever dynamic. However, if you force me to choose just one, for this present picosecond, here it is: Never confuse your self-worth with your net-worth! David Foster

Love that one. Thank you very much, Denise. Love the “picosecond”, too. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

I love all these quotes, Ashley. Hard to pick a favorite, but I’ll go with Jesus’s statement in Matthew 6:33 – “Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these other things will be added unto you.”
