Question of the Week #8 – 2013: Culture

Question of the Week #8 – 2013: Culture

Who is your favorite U. S. president, and why?

My two cents (but please share yours):

My favorite is Abraham Lincoln, because he stood for freedom for all.

Happy Birthday, President Lincoln!

  1. My favorite is Obama. I was so excited that this nation elected an African American president, I couldn’t believe it.

    • Isn’t it wonderful, Patti, that we live in a country where individuals can achieve their dreams. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Obama. I was so excited that this nation elected an African American president. I am so proud.

    • Always be proud of your heritage and your country, Patti. Cheers, Ashley

  3. Ronald Reagan, hands down. Our nation was absolutely falling apart under Jimmy Carter, and Reagan restored our economy, the respect of the world in general, and the preeminence of our military. George Washington is the only president who even comes close to him.

    • Ronald Reagan and George Washington are among my favorites, too, David. To me, their greatest accomplishment was the restoration of hope for a weary population, in the 1700s and the 1900s. Cheers, Ashley

      • Amen to the restoration of hope!

      • Thank you so much, David. Cheers, Ashley

  4. Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan.

    • Two of the best, Jolyse! Cheers, Ashley
