Question of the Week #18 – 2013: Health

What is your favorite healthy vegetable dish, and how do you make it?

My two cents (but please share yours):

My current favorite (from a frightfully short list) is baby lima beans cooked in the microwave until toasty warm and topped with a dressing of canola oil, grated orange peel, onion powder, and marjoram.



  1. Actually, lima beans warmed with a pat of butter is my current favorite.

  2. Mine would probably be frozen broccoli stems, cauliflower and corn mixed together and nuked. Not nearly as exciting as a good steak, though.

  3. Right now, it’s broccoli slaw with broccoli sticks, carrots sticks, and cabbage. I sprinkle it on lettuce, cole slaw, and in pasta primavera. My husband will eat his veggies now.

    • Wonderful veggie-hiding techniques, MM! I’ll try it with my favorite Marie’s cole slaw dressing. Maybe broccoli slaw would work in turkey stuffing, too. Cheers, Ashley

  4. I love most of my veggies plain and raw, but occasionally I like to dip them in a simple honey-mustard dressing. Baby carrots are my fave. In the summer, I love grilled veggies such as tri-colored peppers and sweet onions.
