Easy Recipe: Guilt-Free Alfredo Sauce

My motto used to be “If it didn’t get done in the microwave, it didn’t get done.” I’ve since learned to use my electric oven and its four-burner cooktop. But …

Easy Recipe: Guilt-Free Alfredo Sauce

Step 1   Mix 1/2 c of plain nonfat yogurt, 1/2 c of grated parmesan, and 1-2T of broth (beef, chicken, or vegetable) in a bowl. You can substitute lemon juice, orange juice, or wine for the broth. You can also add 1t of your favorite herbs and/or spices. Curry powder and Tex-Mex dry mix make nice variations.

Step 2   Add the yogurt mixture to steaming hot pasta and stir well. The pasta will warm the sauce gently. Serves one.

  1. Yum! I’m going to try this out – thanks for the recipe!

    • You’re so welcome, CJ. Be sure to try out different spices and juices to find your favorite Alfredo variation. Make it your own. Cheers, Ashley
