Favorite Tip #80: Vegetarian Egg Substitute…Sometimes

This healthy egg substitute works in some dishes, but not when eggs are the star ingredient.

1 egg  =  1T ground flaxseed  +  2-4T water

The flaxseed needs to be ground into a fine flour.

  1. Why would you ever want to substitute anything for eggs? Oh, I guess you believe what the health nuts say.

    • Good question, David. Eggs are yummy. Actually, I’m just making small changes in order to slowly lose weight per my regular doctor’s suggestions. Cheers, Ashley
