Rescue Word of the Week #12 – 2013: Chivalry

The rescue word of the week is chivalry.

Please help save this word from the endangered-word list by adopting it and using it in your thoughts, your speech, your writing, and your deeds.

What does this word mean to you?

My two cents (but please share yours):

Chivalry blends courage, courtesy, and honor, in other words, respect in action. I think chivalry is needed in the 21st century even more than during medieval times.

  1. I thought chivalry died before you were born, Ashley. I agree with what you said, though.

    • No, David, we had chivalry back in medieval times. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

  2. Whenever a guy open a door for me I always say “Ah, thank you, chivalry is not dead.” LOL

    • Hi Lorian, Good for you! Chivalry is not dead. With a little tender care, it can revive and bloom. Cheers, Ashley
