Question of the Week #52 – 2013: Culture

What is your favorite movie to watch after Thanksgiving dinner?

My two cents (but please share yours):

For me, the movie after Thanksgiving dinner has to be “Miracle on 34th Street.” It offers the best transition between Thanksgiving and Christmas. And I love all versions of it, even the B-movies.

  1. I love “Miracle on 34th Street,” but I’m particular about which one. I love the one with Maureen O’Hara, John Payne, Natalie Wood and Edmund Gwenn. For me it has to be black and white and not colorized. I love this movie. It is great to watch after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Nice to hear this story still resonates.

    • Welcome, Tanya. Your version is the A-movie! Yes, it’s absolutely wonderful, especially in black and white. Cheers, Ashley

  2. In this house I’m lucky if I can get a hold of the remote. It’s all football, all day.
    AACK!

    • I feel your pain, Patti, and share it. Cheers, Ashley

  3. What you said. Also, “A Christmas Story”. The one where Ralphie wants a BB gun for Christmas.

    • Another great classic, Gerri! Although, we tend to save this one for Christmas afternoon. Cheers, Ashley

  4. Best movie ever!

    • Thank you so much, Elizabeth. Cheers, Ashley
