Favorite Tip #84: Getting into a Thanksgiving Spirit

Favorite Tip #84: Getting into a Thanksgiving Spirit

Here are a some ideas to try as we count down to Thanksgiving.

  • Make a list of 25 significant things you are grateful for in 2013, and post the list on your refrigerator
  • Feature at least one autumn-harvest dish during dinner each night–try new pumpkin, pomegranate, parsnip, and cranberry recipes
  • Place a Thanksgiving wreath or cluster of Indian corn on your front door
  • Wear more brown, orange, and red clothing between now and the big day
  • Start a gratitude journal that will carry you through until Thanksgiving 2014
  • Say “Happy Thanksgiving” to everyone you see between now and the big day
  • Set your dinner table each night with autumn fabrics and candles

Enjoy.

  1. Good list, Ashley. I hate that Thanksgiving is passed over in the stores. They wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for our founding fathers and Thanksgiving.

    • Thank you so much, Julie. In our homes, we can make the holiday as important as it deserves to be. Cheers, Ashley
