Rescue Word of the Week #25 – 2013: Gentility

The rescue word of the week is gentility.

Please help save this word from the endangered-word list by adopting it and using it in your thoughts, your speech, your writing, and your deeds.

What does this word mean to you?

My two cents (but please share yours):

Gentility is more than just good manners and nobility. There is a gentleness of spirit, too. In the 21st century, in this fast-paced and hard-edged world, we should all try to reach this serene quality.

  1. Too few people even know what that word means, much less put it into practice. But it can be done.

  2. I must be bleary-eyed this evening. I thought you were saving an entirely different word. Can you guess which one? LOL
