Rescue Word of the Week #26 – 2013: Gratitude

The rescue word of the week is gratitude.

Please help save this word from the endangered-word list by adopting it and using it in your thoughts, your speech, your writing, and your deeds.

What does this word mean to you?

My two cents (but please share yours):

As we celebrate Thanksgiving Day and get caught up in the cooking, eating, football, and holiday shopping, we should take a moment to think about the word, gratitude, and count up all the blessings we’ve enjoyed in 2013.

To all of my friends and family:  Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving too!

    • Thank you so much, Elizabeth. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Now that is definitely a word to be contemplated. Personally, I rise every morning in gratitude and that sets the tone for my day. I am sad for how ungrateful so many people appear to be. Happy Holidays.

    • Rising in gratitude is a wonderful practice, Lorian. I keep a gratitude journal and record five things I’m grateful for each day. Some are important, others not so much. But the practice does get the day started right. Cheers, Ashley
