Question of the Week #1 – 2014

Question of the Week #1 – 2014

What is your most achievable goal?

My two cents (but please share yours):

To finish and publish two works-in-progress (novels). The stretch goal is to complete four WIPs.

Responses

  1. Most achievable? Publish short stories in 2014 — hopefully six and then a boxed set. Best wishes in 2014!

    • Very achievable and specific, Julie! Hope you have great success in 2014. Cheers, Ashley

  2. To find an agent. I’ve been looking since 2009.

    • That’s a difficult goal, Patti. Are you a member of RWA (Romance Writers of America)? If not, that might be a place to continue your search. Cheers, Ashley

  3. To lose the extra five pounds of candy weight clinging to my belly. 🙂 If I throw out said candy, it shouldn’t take too long. Best of luck on your WIPS, Ashley!

    • Thank you, CJ. And best wishes losing the five pounds. I think you’re right. Clearing the bad stuff from the house is usually a good plan. Cheers, Ashley

  4. To get over my shoulder surgery and get back to work on my 3-novella WIP. Should easily get all 3 published this year if I can just get going.

    • Hope you heal very quickly, David. You’re so productive, there’s no doubt you’ll get all three done. Cheers, Ashley

  5. To write an average of 750 words a day per week. 🙂

    • That is a very realistic goal, even for someone as busy as you are, Jolyse. Hope you achieve this one with ease. Cheers, Ashley

      • I decided to make an attainable goal and something entirely under my control. I strive to be consistent. So far, if I have missed one day due to crazy-life-stuff, I’ve been able to make up my word count the following day.

Good luck with your life and writing resolutions, Ashley!

      • Very well done, Jolyse. You’re off to a great start. And thank you so much for the good wishes. Cheers, Ashley
