Question of the Week #7 – 2014

Question of the Week #7 – 2014

Are you following the winter Olympics on social media?

My two cents (but please share yours):

I’m using Twitter for getting figure skating results and Facebook for sharing photos, but that’s about all.

  1. nope. Watched some of Westminster today, and will see some more since they have an excellent video set up, archived for years.
Sorry, that’s Westminster Kennel Club dog show, the second oldest sporting event in the US.

    • Bet those puppies are adorable, Mona. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

  2. No. I don’t even really care about football either.

    • That’ll give you extra time for writing, Julie. Cheers, Ashley

  3. No. I can barely tune in to watch…

    • Hi Christy, Sounds like you’re really busy these days. Cheers, Ashley

  4. I’m watching it every night on the television.

    • Sounds like TV is beating social media, Patti. Cheers, Ashley

  5. No, not really.

    • Hi Gerri, I suspect the time difference between here and Sochi is a factor keeping social media quiet. Cheers, Ashley

  6. Check medal total by country in the paper each morning but don’t pay much attention otherwise. Only time I really paid much attention to the olympics was in 1984 when Mary Lou Retton, et al, were winning all the gymnastics.

    • Hi David, If the pairs figure skating short program is any indication, we may see some wonderful performances starting tonight. Cheers, Ashley

  7. I watched most of the opening ceremonies and a few events on TV over the weekend. I saw the women’s skiing last night, but I need to write this week so no more Sochi for me. On social media, my daughter got quite a few laughs out of #sochiproblems tweets, but I only saw the one about the bobsledder who had to escape his bathroom after the doorknob broke.

    • Hi Jolyse, #sochiproblems has been quite entertaining. Best wishes for your writing. Cheers, Ashley
