Question of the Week #9 – 2014

Question of the Week #9 – 2014

Have you voted in your state’s primary this spring?

My two cents (but please share yours):

Yes. All elections are important and have consequences, especially at the state level.

  1. Yes. I always vote. Unlike the League of Women Voters, I DO NOT encourage everyone to vote just to be voting. VOTE ONLY if you understand the issues and know something about the candidates.

    • I agree that everyone should be well informed before entering the voting booth, David. However, the first step is to make folks aware of their local, state, and federal elections. I’ve talked to so many in my hometown who don’t even know the primaries are underway much less who is running. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Hi Ashley,DO you like to vote? AND HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU FIRST VOTED? I WAS 18.ELIZABETH

    • Hi Elizabeth, Yes, I’ve voted consistently since I was 18, too. I believe it is the one thing all US citizens must do to preserve their constitutional rights, their freedom. Cheers, Ashley

  3. I voted in the first election when I was eligible and make an effort to vote in every election possible. At times it’s hard to find a best choice but I feel not voting takes away your right to bitch

    • You right about that, Mona. 🙂 And it’s not hard to get informed. Sample ballots are available online, and it’s easy to run Internet searches on the candidates’ names. Cheers, Ashley
