Something to Think About #6 – 2014

Did you know that the US national debt has increased to over $17,339,117,000,000?

My two cents (but please share yours):

You can track key US financial data simply by checking the US Debt Clock on a monthly basis. Here’s the link.

  1. Oh, that’s just WAY too depressing to track!

    • Hi CJ, Actually, there’s some pretty cool info on that constantly updating chart. And the depressing stuff can be fixed by the American people–by learning about the issues and going to the polls to vote. Cheers, Ashley

  2. I’ve been amazed for 50 years at the insanity that thinks we can continue robbing Peter to pay Paul indefinitely.

    • You’re so right on this, David. It’s stunning. Cheers, Ashley

  3. and just how does one say that number?

    • Hi Patti, I’d characterize this debt as stunning. We can still grow our way out of it, but it will take time and some serious tax and regulation relief for small businesses. They account for approximately 70% of US jobs. Cheers, Ashley
