Superfood of the Week – Flax Seeds

What is your favorite recipe that uses this food?

My two cents (but please share yours):

Y’all, please share lots of recipes for this superfood here. I’m a newbie when it comes to using flax seeds but do like to add them as crunchies on top of salads, puddings, and yogurt.

  2. I haven’t used them, but understand they’re healthy. My aunt swears by flaxseed oil and takes a teaspoon every morning. She says it helps with arthritis pain.

  3. THese I eat raw, soak them in something to get them a little squishy. But Chia seeds are better. Tasteless, you can add them to anything.

    • Haven’t tried Chia seeds yet, Riley. But they’re on my try-soon list. Cheers, Ashley

      • So good. They taste like sesame seeds on their own, but the magic is when you set them to soak in something. Set a couple tablespoons in some applejuice, and they taste like apple juice with the little tapioca pudding pieces. So good, like gooey and yet not. Weird to explain, and something I wouldn’t of seen myself eating a couple years ago, but I’ve dropped 110 lbs since I added them to my diet.
