Superfood of the Week – Kale

Superfood of the Week – Kale

What is your favorite recipe that uses this food?

My two cents (but please share yours):

Chop fresh kale into chips, toss with a little olive oil and sea salt, and bake at 300 degrees for 10-15 minutes. The only hard part is keeping an eye out and making sure the chips don’t burn. Thank you to Vickie and Denise for sharing this recipe.

  1. Good recipe. I put Kale in my smoothies with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, peanut butter, carrots and almond milk. It tastes like fruit!

    • Lovely way to sneak in nutrition, Christy. The peanut part is interesting, too. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Never eaten kale, but I assume it would be similar to cabbage, which I love to stir fry.

    • Kale is similar, David. It’s best when combined with ingredients that are slightly salty. Cheers, Ashley

  3. Kale is an ingredient in the green juice my honey makes. Yum. 🙂

    • Haven’t yet tried green drinks, Jolyse. You do make yours sound good. Will have to check out a recipe or two. Cheers, Ashley
