Question of the Week #23 – 2014

Question of the Week #23 – 2014

What is the Second Amendment of the US Constitution?

My two cents (but please share yours):

The purpose of this right to bear arms is to allow citizens to form a militia when necessary to maintain freedom.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

  1. I see the second amendment as “we have the right to bear arms.” That’s different than anything that might go along with it. Simply that it is a right, and way too many of those have been taken away already.

    • Too many rights have been taken away, Jenny. I find myself questioning the motives of those who took those rights as well as those who are working even now to steal additional rights from us. Cheers, Ashley
