Superfood of the Week – Oranges

What is your favorite recipe that uses this food?

My two cents (but please share yours):

Add 1T agave nectar to the juice and zest of 3-5 oranges. Stir thoroughly, and taste for your preferred sweetness. Adjust the ratio as necessary.

This syrup may be added to everything from sparkling water to any basic white-wine vinaigrette to a sauce made of equal parts soy sauce and dry sherry with a dash of sesame oil. The orange syrup may also be added to plain yogurt or most broth-based sauces. With the holidays approaching and oranges coming into season, this is the perfect time to experiment. Enjoy.
