Question of the Week – 2014 – Post #47

What is your favorite fall beverage?

My two cents, but please share yours:

For fall, my favorite is apple cider–by the gallon. I use it instead of broth for poaching, cooking pasta, and making sauces. It can also replace lemon or lime juice in many dishes, including vinaigrettes.

  1. I basically have two beverages, year-round – ice water and black coffee. I do drink a small glass of grape juice 2 or 3 mornings a week, but it has to be icy.

    • Grape juice counts as a fall drink, David. I used to dip graham crackers in grape juice as an after-school snack–many decades ago. Maybe I’ll have to indulge in a bottle of grape juice as well as cider this fall. Cheers, Ashley
