Superfood of the Week – Nuts

Superfood of the Week – Nuts

What is your favorite recipe that uses this food?

My two cents, but please share yours:

Eating a handful of nuts straight from the bag is great, but they are also wonderful for adding crunch to soups, salads, and Asian dishes. And nuts, especially cashews and pistachios, can be ground up and used as a thickener (1-3T) for soups and stews. Enjoy.

  1. Love love nuts

    • They are absolutely yummy, Lorian. And healthy, too–no guilt. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Love to eat salted peanuts, but I don’t care for nuts in other foods. My wife always wants me to put nuts in chicken salad, brownies, and other things, but to me that ruins the texture of the food.

    • Hi David, The nice thing about nuts is that they usually get added at the end or just before going into the oven. Make a dish, and then add nuts to only your wife’s half. Everybody wins. Cheers, Ashley
