Book Corner – 2015 – Post #1 – Perfect for Valentine’s Day

What is the best book to read on Valentine’s Day?

My two cents, but please share yours:

For pure romance–a love story with a happily ever after–I’m going with Pride and Prejudice (1813) by Jane Austin. What is your favorite pick?

  1. Cotillion, by Georgette Heyer. The hero is adorable–“Garnets? You don’t suppose I’m going to buy you trumpery things like that, do you? Got my eye on some good rubies–just the thing!”

    • Can never go wrong with Georgette Heyer, Angelyn! Another classic. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Nice choice! A classic that never gets old, no matter how many times I read it. 🙂

  3. Cliche but The Notebook is my modern favourite.

    • The Notebook is an excellent choice, Billie Jo. Cheers, Ashley

  4. I always watch romantic movies instead of reading books (Please don’t hurt me) so my go to classics are While you were sleeping and Holiday (Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn)

    • You can never go wrong with Cary Grant, Linda! Cheers, Ashley
