Book Corner – 2015 – Post #2 – What are you currently reading?

What are you currently reading, and what will you read next?

My two cents, but please share yours:

For one of my book clubs, I’m reading The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty. David Baldacci’s The Target (Will Robie series) is next.

  1. I’m reading a Jack Reacher novel. Not sure what’s next.

    • Our book club read the first Jack Reacher novel and loved it, David. We definitely want to read more in the series. Cheers, Ashley

  2. I seem to be on a SF/Fantasy kick. I’m reading Sparks Rising by Kate Corcino and re-reading Morgan’s Choice by Greta van der Rol

    • Both of these books are new to me, Mona–will have to check them out. Cheers, Ashley

  3. Getting close to finishing a Department Q: The Marco Effect by Jussi Adler Olsen and a few days ago re-read The Borrower by Rebecca Makkai because i am hosting Book Club on Friday. Really related to the Borrower: it’s about a young Librarian and a 10 year old boy with problems who is hiding from life in the Library…not uncommon to lifelong readers.

    • Hi Kay, Department Q: The Marco Effect looks like an interesting read, too, per its Amazon summary. Hope you enjoyed both of your reads. Cheers, Ashley

  4. “A Fifty Year Silence” by Miranda Richmond Mouillot, a story about WW2 and the effect on Miranda’s grandparents who lived in Europe at the time.

    • Based on the Amazon summary, this story sounds truly touching and amazing, Aunt Mary. Did you enjoy this book? Cheers, Ashley

  5. I’m reading Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas – one of my favorite authors!

    • Lisa Kleypas is a favorite of one of my book clubs, too, CJ. Hope you enjoy this story. Cheers, Ashley

  6. Devil in Winter is a good one. I’m currently rereading Anya Seton’s Katherine–about John of Gaunt’s mistress.

    • Anya Seton’s Katherine is the story that got me hooked on romances back in the 1970s, Angelyn. It never disappoints on rereads. Cheers, Ashley

  7. I typically have several books going. Currently: 1. Decision Points 2. The Dirty Dozen 3. The Immortalists (about Charles Lindbergh and his quest to live forever).

    • Always great to have several books in progress, Frank. Decision Points is in my to-be-read queue as well. Cheers, Ashley

  8. I just started Anthony Ryan’s Blood Song. It’s the first in a gritty/grim fantasy series, and I’m loving it! On chapter two…

    • Always wonderful to read a story you love, D. Wallace. Hope the rest of your book is as good for you as the beginning. Cheers, Ashley
