Picoblog Question – 2015 – Post #65

What is the best way to get rid of a sinus migraine?

My two cents, but please share yours:

When a sinus migraine hits, I like to nap for two hours in a dark, quiet room. If the stomach settles, warm broth seems to help ease the throbbing, too.

  1. My mom takes two sudafed and a 12 oz coke. I can’t take sudafed because of my heart condition so I take baby aspirin with a Dr. Pepper and sleep until the next day:D

    • That’s pulling out the heavy artillery, Linda! 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

  2. I used to take a double dose of antihistamine/decongestant and put a heating pad over my face and sleep it off. Fortunately I haven’t had one in a very long time.

    • You’re very lucky, Kay. I was actually recovering from one of these the last time we got together. Cheers, Ashley

  3. My secret weapon (besides drugs and a quiet room) are herbal packs and ice packs – cold on the back and hot on my face. Hope the migraines ease off!

    • Thank you so much, Jenny. The long nap worked, and I was able to enjoy my evening out, even if I was a little subdued. Cheers, Ashley
