Picoblog Question – 2015 – Post #73

Our national security folks are telling us to have “heightened situational awareness.” What does this mean?

My two cents, but please share yours:

  1. Out in public, put away your smartphones. Look around, at other people, at your surroundings.
  2. “If you see something, say something.” Report anything truly suspicious to the police.
  3. Thank every member of the military and the police for their service.
  4. At home, focus on your family and friends, not on fear. Reconnect with your loved ones.
  5. Watch both Fox News and CNN to stay current on the news from both points of view. It’s no longer safe to be a “low-information” individual.
  6. Reconnect with your life, not your electronics.

Ultimately, this situational awareness stuff might just be a huge blessing in disguise.
