Book Corner – 2015 – Post #9

What are you currently reading?

My two cents, but please share yours:

For fiction, I’m currently reading Code of Conduct, another Scot Harvath novel by Brad Thor. This is the most recent in this “series within a series,” and I’m loving it.

For nonfiction, I’m reading Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt. It is surprisingly relevant for today.

  1. Heh, I guess Hazlitt would be *very* interesting. It’s on my “read this” list. 🙂

I am slowly working my way through the VanDyke books (originally from Onteora) which have been waiting all these years in a box for me to be mostly retired with time to read. 🙂 Just finished “The Money God”. Almost like reading something current, but published in 1908… same troubles, same complaints – about business, greed, advertising, environment, morals. Would be rather amusing if it weren’t so pathetic.

    • I think you’ll like Hazlett’s book, Aunt Mary. It’s similar to your VanDyke books, written long ago, reading as if it were written today. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Just finishing a Louis L’Amour – Ride the Dark Trail.

    • I’ll bet you’re really enjoying this story, David. Have fun with it. Cheers, Ashley

  3. Right now. The Arawn Cycle trilogy. A fantasy that I’m thoroughly enjoying 🙂

    • So happy you’re enjoying your trilogy, D. Wallace. Have fun! Cheers, Ashley
