Picoblog Question – 2015 – Post #82

What is your favorite New Year’s Day ritual?

My two cents, but please share yours:

I like to add black-eyed peas to a warm, sharp-cheddar queso dip and serve it with tortilla chips during the Rose Bowl parade.

  1. Singing from the Georgian Harmony. We sing from 10 AM until 3 PM with dinner on the grounds at noon.

    • Sounds absolutely beautiful, Aunt Mary! What a wonderful way to begin the new year. Cheers, Ashley

  2. Just the black-eyed peas.

    • They’re the important part, David. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

  3. Sighing with relief that December is over! So grinchy, I know, but phew! I do it every year 🙂

    • Not “grinchy,” D. Wallace, just human. Cheers, Ashley

  4. My family tradition is to eat cabbage (with corn bread) and black-eyed peas at the stroke of noon. I usually watch football the rest of the day and do my annual ironing of my shirts for work. ha!

    • Too funny, Chip! Love the “stroke of noon.” Cheers, Ashley
