Picoblog Question – 2016 – Post #66

What is a root cellar used for?

My two cents, but please share yours:

It is an underground storage room (sometimes dug into the side of a hill) that keeps potatoes, sweet potatoes, and other root vegetables cool in the summer and unfrozen in the winter.

Do you have any tips on how to construct or how to use a root cellar? Please share your tips here.
