Picoblog Question – 2016 – Post #67

What is your favorite twist on Thanksgiving herb stuffing?

My two cents, but please share yours:

I sometimes like to add sliced mushrooms, dried cranberries, chopped celery, chopped pecans, and a can or two of cream of mushroom soup to the standard recipe for herb stuffing (bread crumbs, chopped sage, ground thyme, diced onion, butter, and broth). Bake this version in the oven at 350 deg. F like any casserole.

  1. The twist my disposal puts on that junk as it sucks it down the drain. (Not a stuffing fan.)

  2. I like adding sausage and mandarin oranges 🙂 Just like mom used to make.

    • Now that’s a twist I haven’t heard before, D. Wallace. And it does sound good–will have to try this version. Cheers, Ashley
