Picoblog Question – 2016 – Post #69

What is the first thing you plan to do to celebrate the holidays in December?

My two cents, but please share yours:

On December 1, I’m going to switch out our Thanksgiving oven mitts, tea towels, and table linens for our Christmas ones. The Christmas wreath is already up. (It stays up all year.)

  1. I’ve already decorated my in-law suit. Next is to buy Christmas stamps and then address Christmas cards and send them out.

    • Wow! You’re off to a great start, Gerri! Cheers, Ashley

  2. I have sent my overseas package, my out of state package, and bought my Chrismas stamps, which I hope takes care of the PO line for 2016. We sing this weekend at Marshall, NC and the next weekend at Rutherfordton, NC. That second is my Real Christmas Event. 🙂 Some of us laugh and call it “the High Holy day for Christian Harmony”. I planned to put up the table top tree, but right now the Christmas cactus is in full bloom there, so I’ll wait. The wreath can be fixed though – it’s just grapevine and has been up all year but with different bows for different seasons. Cookie baking is on the schedule too, but not sure when.

    • My goodness, Aunt Mary! You’re a very busy lady. Hope it all goes smoothly and you have lots of fun. Cheers, Ashley

  3. Try to make a gift list and get a jump start on the holiday. Shopping stresses me out!

    • Take a moment to bless each gift that you buy and the loved one you’re sending it to, D. Wallace. This simple step will do wonders for lowering your stress. Cheers, Ashley
