Book Corner – 2017 – Post #5

What are you currently reading?

My two cents, but please share yours:

For fiction, I’m reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (for the umpteenth time) for my neighborhood book club.

For nonfiction, I’m reading Dialogue: The Art of Verbal Action for the Page, Stage, and Screen by Robert McKee. This author also wrote the bestselling text Story.

  1. The Warrior’s Path – Book 3 of Louis L’Amour’s Sackett series.

    • I think that story is actually in my to-be-read pile, David. It may take a little while for me to read it as the pile is not little. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

      • I’m also beta reading a fellow writer’s novel, which is difficult for me, because it’s sci-fi, which I neither appreciate nor understand.

      • You may actually be the perfect sci-fi beta reader, David. You will be able to point out to your friend which sentences need better explanation. Cheers, Ashley

  2. I just finished Twenty-four Days, a military thriller by one of our blogging community – Jacqui Murray or Worddreams. She did a super job with research and it’s a ripping fast read.

    • Love that genre, D. Wallace! I’ll have to check out your recommendation. Cheers, Ashley

      • I hope you do. Jacqui is very talented and the realism was the clincher for me. 😀

      • I’ll give it a try, D. Wallace. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

  3. Non fiction: My Two Polish Grandfather’s by Witold Rybczynski
Fiction: All The Bird’s In The Sky by Charlie Jane Anders

    • Both books are new to me, Robert. I’ll have to check them out. Cheers, Ashley
