Rise of the Layoff Generation – Post #1

Rise of the Layoff Generation – Post #1

Is the Layoff Generation poised to rise like a phoenix?

My two cents, but please share yours:

Yes.

The Layoff Generation is made up of those individuals between the ages of forty-five and sixty-five in 2017. Many have experienced layoffs, often multiple times, simply because they were more experienced and perceived to be more expensive. They are old enough to have been slammed by several economic downturns but not old enough to receive full Social Security and Medicare. And they have caught the brunt of skyrocketing healthcare premiums and deductibles.

Now the tide is turning in favor of this generation. Details will be covered in future posts in this new series. Enjoy.
