U.S. Constitution – 2018 – Post #19

What is Amendment XIX of the U.S. Constitution?

My two cents, but please share yours:

Passed by Congress June 4, 1919. Ratified August 18, 1920.

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.”

  1. So much controversy today with this amendment; writers meant to address that moment in tiime and those issues.

    • Welcome, America On Coffee. Please share your name when you catch a free moment. Yes, there’s a lot of controversy, and the first goal is to encourage citizens to read all the amendments so that they know their rights. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

      • Hi Ashley! AOC is how we preferr to be addressed.. Individualized creates diversity and personality preferences(favortism). We are many, but an entity. Thanks mucho much for your following, comments and likes! Re: the U.S.Constitution, your statement is true stemming from the Women’s Suffrage Movement. Contoversies are many and other loopholes causing conflicts . Anyhow the origin holds true.

      • Hi AOC, Welcome again to this picoblog! Hope you enjoy our gentle little bits of information. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley
