Book Corner – 2018 – Post #3
What are you currently reading?
My two cents, but please share yours:
For fiction, I’m starting I Found You by Lisa Jewell for my neighborhood book club.
For nonfiction, I’m reading Blackout Wars by Peter Pry. I’ve read about a quarter so far, and the book seems to be thoroughly covering the topic of EMP (electromagnetic pulse) preparedness.
Re-reading for the umpteenth time:
“The Ruth Stout No-Work Garden Book” from the 1970s. I followed that book’s instructions with my PA garden and it was *fantastic*, but I haven’t the great supplies of hay, straw, chicken and cow manure, etc. etc. down here, so any garden is never likely to be as good again. Too bad.
But it’s a fun read. Somehow I had not realized she was born in the 1880s! She was older than my dad! 🙂

I’m certain your garden is better than mine, Aunt Mary. Texas gardening is simply hopeless. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

Not this year. I’ve not seen such failure in a long time. Very depressing.

In that case, Aunt Mary, I strongly recommend buying a bouquet of daisies and the “fixins” for a giant pitcher of lemonade. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley
