Picoblog Question – 2018 – Post #25

How will you celebrate Winter Solstice 2018 (Friday, Dec. 21)?

My two cents, but please share yours:

The shortest day of the year always coincides with the Ursids meteor shower (Dec. 17-24, peaking around Dec. 23). If the sky is clear enough, I will celebrate by staying up until midnight and watching the light show.

  1. Weather permitting, I will have supper with my cousin (grandmothers were sisters) and then sing carols. There should be half a dozen of us old ladies there. The singing is poor quality but the food and company are good. 🙂

    • Sounds like a wonderful time, Aunt Mary! Cheers, Ashley

  2. Sounds good!

    • Thank you so much, Gerri! Cheers, Ashley
