Favorite Quotes – 2020 – Post #3
“Years ago, I picked up figure skating. How hard could spins and jumps be, I thought? It’s just applied Newtonian physics. After repeatedly falling on my rear end, I realized it was harder than I thought. But it had an upside. That is how I met my wife, who was ice dancing at the Rockefeller Center ice rink.”
– Michio Kaku
My two cents (or another favorite quote), but please share yours:
“My mother introduced me to many different things, and figure skating was one of them. I just thought that it was magical having to glide across the ice.”
– Debi Thomas
Today’s theme = Figure Skating
🙂 Fond memories of the Skating Club, my first opportunity to learn to skate. Oh, those ice shows, all those young hopeful kids training training training. What fun to later see some of them on TV and know I had skated on the same rink at the same time and watched them leaping about!

Very fond memories, Aunt Mary! And there has been a lot of skating on the TV lately–more this weekend. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley
