Picoblog Question – 2020 – Post #25

August is almost here. What are you going to do to celebrate the new month?

My two cents, but please share yours:

To celebrate, I’m shifting from chilled soups to warm, broth-based soups.

To get a head start, yesterday, I made summer chicken-pinto-bean chili soup. Like any stew, chili can be thinned out into a soup. In this recipe, I used a generous splash of cider vinegar and about a cup of beef broth to do the job. I also cut the corn flour back to only a tablespoon, to have a hint of corn flavor without the thickening.
