Book Corner – 2021 – Post #2
What are you currently reading, and are you enjoying your books?
My two cents, but please share yours:
For fiction, I’m starting, The Henna Artist, by Alka Joshi, this month’s rather exotic selection for my neighborhood book club.
For nonfiction, I’m beginning The Art of War by Sun-tzu. This translation includes an historical introduction by Ralph D. Sawyer. I’ve started this book several times. This time, with a wee bit of luck, I intend to finish it.
I have just started another unread book from my home library: “Boys and Girls from Dickens” edited by Broughton Scott, published in 1912, given to my mother in 1913 by her father and stepmother.
Not sure there is much to recommend it, although I’ve now read of one child I never heard of before. Otherwise, I’ve looked at Oliver Twist and David Copperfield, but there are seventeen more to go, so surely there will be others who are strangers to me! 🙂
Plainly someone dearly loved this book, as it is completely coming apart and needs string to hold it all together.

Perhaps it was Nana, who loved that book so much, Aunt Mary. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley
