What is your favorite late-summer treat?
My two cents, but please share yours:
The nectarines are huge and juicy this summer. So I’m going with nectarines topped with a little vanilla ice cream. A light version (omitted the corn-flour thickener) of chicken tortilla soup is running a close second.

Neighbor and I bought a big basket (to share) of Red Globe peaches (from South Carolina) at the Farmers’ Market. This is my standard late July treat.
Also cold summer squash soup. 🙂 Aaaaaaaaaaahh.
