Picoblog Question – 2023 – Post #5

What is your favorite mix-and-match casserole recipe?

My two cents, but please share yours:

For the casserole base, use the following.

  • 1 can – Cream of chicken soup
  • 2c – Mayonnaise
  • 1t – Onion powder
  • 1t – Garlic powder
  • 1 pinch each – Salt and pepper
  • 1c – Shredded cheddar cheese (optional depending on the main ingredients).

To this base, you can add any main ingredients you prefer (i.e. 1-2 cups of diced, cooked chicken or frozen, chopped broccoli or a mix of sliced mushrooms, pecan bits, and poultry-seasoned bread chunks) and mix well. Top the casserole with cracker crumbs moistened with melted butter.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, bake for 30 minutes, and enjoy. As always, play with this mix-and-match recipe and make it your own.

How about you?

  1. Yum! The buttered cracker crumbs sound like they would brown on top of the casserole and taste delicious.
