Picoblog Question – 2021 – Post #20

How will you celebrate the beginning of June?

My two cents, but please share yours:

I’m going for the berries.

Strawberries! Blueberries! Raspberries!

Normally, I’ll eat them chilled–icy–with no sweetener added. But this week, I plan to drop them on pastries or slices of cake, maybe even add a little whipped cream to the mix. Enjoy.

Movie Corner – 2021 – Post #4 – Perfect for June

Movie Corner – 2021 – Post #4 – Perfect for June

What movie would be perfect to watch in June?

My two cents, but please share yours:

For June, I’m going with the classic documentary, The Endless Summer (1965). This surfing film features Bruce Brown as narrator and Robert August and Michael Hynson as principal surfers seeking the perfect wave. Enjoy.

Memorial Day 2021

Memorial Day 2021

We’re keeping in our thoughts and prayers all of those who served in our armed forces, sacrificing to preserve our freedom. We bless you and thank you and will take a moment of silence to remember you.

Picoblog Question – 2021 – Post #19

Should one celebrate even small successes?

My two cents, but please share yours:

Absolutely. I always remember the following.

“Where you focus, that’s where you’ll go. What you focus on, that’s what will grow.” (Author unknown)

When one celebrates a small success, they’re focusing on success and heading toward it. If they continue to focus on success, it will grow. They’ll get more successes, a good thing.

Will you be watching the supermoon on May 26, 2021?

My two cents, but please share yours:

Absolutely. The only question is whether it’ll be possible to catch this supermoon’s eclipse during the wee hours before sunrise. So, yes, this full moon will also be a super blood moon.

What are you currently reading, and are you enjoying your books?

My two cents, but please share yours:

For fiction, I’m just starting Long Road to Mercy by David Baldacci. This book is the next selection for my neighborhood book club.

For nonfiction, I’m studying Scottish Gaelic in Twelve Weeks by Roibeard O Maolalaigh with Iain MacAonghus. This is a good textbook, but I’ll need to work through it several times to get a good grasp of the language.

How should new technologies be introduced?

My two cents, but please share yours:

If possible, new technologies should be allowed to spread slowly and organically.

Deploying an application too quickly usually results in widespread downtime. Bugs and glitches are often missed during pre-deployment planning and testing. Always be the turtle, never the hare. Or better yet, be the snail.
