Question of the Week #43: Culture
What is your favorite holiday, and why?
My two cents (but please share yours):
My favorite is Christmas. I still get caught up in the giving, the magic, and I still listen for Santa’s reindeer on the roof at midnight.
Christmas for me as well. I love giving gifts and seeing people open them.

I agree, Patti. It’s the look on their faces that’s so wonderful. Cheers, Ashley

Thanksgiving. I love that the focus is on spending time with family without all the focus on gifts (plus the food is awesome!).

So true, Casey! There’s nothing better than sage stuffing. Cheers, Ashley

Veterans Day. I am continually amazed at the sacrifices made by those who put themselves in harm’s way so we can continue to complain about the price of gas. Sorry, melancholy tonight

But your reminder of what is truly important, Mona, is so appreciated. Each member of our armed forces is a true hero. Cheers, Ashley

most years are white but the last few it’s been hit or miss – our weather is definitely changing

The weather definitely cycles, Louise. I can never keep straight whether it’s an El Nino or La Nina period. Oooh, maybe I should post Fun Factoids on those two, learning them at the same time. 🙂 Cheers, Ashley

Christmas. Halloween is a close second. I love to bring out decorations seen only once a year, and my grandchildren love to ‘help’ decorate.
