200th Picoblog Post: International Exotic Animal Sanctuary

200th Picoblog Post:

To celebrate, this 200th picoblog post is once again devoted to the International Exotic Animal Sanctuary. My husband and I love touring the sanctuary in Boyd, Texas (north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex) and are always awed by the wonderful big cats and bears and the devoted care they receive. If you come to visit this region, the sanctuary is a not-to-be-missed experience.

The IEAS website is http://www.bigcat.org/index.php .

The IEAS Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/International-Exotic-Animal-Sanctuary/169603019738879 .

  1. I see pictures of this sanctuary all the time on FB and don’t know whether they’re posted by you or someone else. I love them and just joined their site.
    Thank you.

    • That’s wonderful, Patti! On FB, the IEAS posts the pictures and I share many of them on my wall several times per week. If you get to the DFW area, be sure to catch a weekend tour. Their tours are better than any zoo I’ve experienced. By the way, I love all of the big kitties and bears, but must confess that Titan is my favorite. Cheers, Ashley

  2. CONGRATS! on your 200th post. That is a milestone. And this is such a great idea. Had no idea we had something like that in our “neighborhood.”

    • Thank you so much, Denise. The IEAS is truly wonderful. Every 100th milestone will be for a worthy cause, and the IEAS is very worthy. Cheers, Ashley

  3. Congratulations on your 200th post Ashley! Awesome!

    • Thank you very much, Casey. This milestone came much more quickly than I expected. Cheers, Ashley

  4. Congratulations, Ashley. Do you live around Fort Worth? I’d like to meet you sometime if you do – or next time you visit the area.

    • Thank you very much, David. Actually, I live just north of Dallas. If you attend Readers ‘N Ritas this November (great readers’ conference put on by Fresh Fiction) or DARA’s wonderful Dreamin’ In Dallas writers’ conference in March of 2013, we should plan to do coffee or lunch. Cheers, Ashley

  5. I love all the animal pics you post on facebook, Ashley. They make me smile. I didn’t know the place you posted pics from was so close. I’ll be checking it out in the near future. Congratulations on your 200th post! That’s so awesome!

    • Thank you so much, Rhonda. Let us know of you take the IEAS tour. And please post photos on FB! Cheers, Ashley
